Description:

Abstract:: GIS data set that represents a danger zone of the Macdill AFB. This is danger zone 33 CFR 334.630 and 33 CFR 329. The 33 CFR 329 area will encompass an existing danger zone (33 CFR 334.630).
Purpose:: This GIS data layer was heads-up digitized from given latitude and longitude coordinate points. These points were connected to form a danger zone in which vessels and other watercraft are prohibited from entering at all times. All persons, vessels, and other craft are prohibited from entering, transiting, anchoring, or drifting within this restricted area. This restriction is 24 hours a day 7 days a week and permission and enforcement is granted/regulated by the Commander at the Macdill AFB.
Supplemental_Information:: Prior to July 1, 2004, the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI) was known as the Florida Marine Research Institute (FMRI). The institute name has not been changed in historical data sets or references to work completed by the Florida Marine Research Institute. The institute name has been changed in references to ongoing research, new research, and contact information.
