Abstract:

This is a polygon layer containing the boundaries of the Sanctuary Preservation Areas, Ecological Reserves and the Research Only Areas in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.

Purpose:

This GIS compatible digital file is provided to promote an understanding of the general location of the Sanctuary Preservation Areas, Ecological Reserves and Research Only Areas in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The boundaries were created by using the coordinates identified in the Code of Federal Regulations, at 15 C.F.R. Part 922, Subpart P, Appendix III. These digital files are not intended and should not be relied upon for use in navigation or legal purposes.
