Abstract:

This GIS data set shows the Intracoastal waterway right-of-way for the East coast of Florida, divided by county. These data are maintained by Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND), Florida East Coast.

Purpose: To visually represent the ICW right-of-way.

Supplemental_Information:

Prior to July 1, 2004, the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI) was known as the Florida Marine Research Institute (FMRI). The institute name has not been changed in historical data sets or references to work completed by the Florida Marine Research Institute. The institute name has been changed in references to ongoing research, new research, and contact information.
Some polygons overlap the FMRI's 1:40,000 scale shoreline. The ICW right-of-way is the land parcel that the ICW is located on, and may include islands or spoil disposal areas- do not use these data for navigation. These data are not maintained by FMRI. Requests should be made directly to FIND.
