This dataset contains points that approximate entrance stations, honor box/parking areas, and all other points of entry into Florida State Parks and Trails. Entrances are designated as either 'Main' or 'Secondary', based primarily upon the parks' intended means of entry, as well as other factors such as proximity to park facilities and major roads. test

This dataset was created to allow public users to locate main and secondary entrances to Florida State Parks & Trails.

Dataset was modified from 2010 version in the following steps: - All entrance points were carefully cross-referenced with current park base maps, kiosk maps, park webpage information, park gate shapefiles, road shapefiles, and proxy ground truthing using Google Street View. - Several points were either added, moved, or removed altogether, depending upon the extant accuracy as determined in the aforementioned process step. - A final review by all relevant park staff (to be completed prior to final MapDirect rollout) will ensure relative accuracy of entrance points.
