Description: ESI - Shoreline sensitivity to spilled oil, is a classification scheme used as a measure of a shoreline's "sensitivity" to the effects of spilled oil on that particular habitat or substrate type. The scale goes from 10 to 1, with 10 being most sensitive (eg. suffering greatest long-term impact) and 1 being least sensitive (eg. easily cleaned or suffering only short-term impacts. The sensitivity color ramp goes from hot to cold colors as sensitivity decreaes.
