Boating restricted areas as established for the purpose of regulating the speed and operation of vessel traffic for the safety of the public. This data is provided to assist in located boating restricted areas. This shapefile is intended for visual reference only. There are known limitations including sliver gaps and overlaps between adjacent zones. A suggested reference scale of 1:12,000 or smaller scale views is suggested to minimize appearance of slivers. This data set is not intended for navigation or legal uses. For legal boundaries, please refer to Section 68D-24 of the Florida Administrative Code. The text of the FAC is "controlling and dispositive of the exact location of the boundaries of each boating restricted area" (from 68D-24.003).
